Liva Healthcare is a Copenhagen and London based health-tech company providing an innovative platform connecting patients and health professionals digitally to drive behaviour and lifestyle change – and manage diseases and care plans. Apart from text and video consultation, the platform features patient tracking tools and online support groups. The platform is used by healthcare authorities, pharma and insurance companies to drive patient engagement, clinical outcomes and healthcare delivery efficiency with real-time data insight. Liva Healthcare is founded by the serial entrepreneurs behind e-health successes such as NetDoctor.com, E-Doktor and SundhedsDoktor.

Liva’s role in the project is to lead work package 2, responsible for the Bump2Baby and Me App and health coaching library and for providing and developing the digital platform.

Ditte Hjorth Laursen

Principal Investigator (PI) and WP2 Leader

Ditte is Head of Project Management and Research at Liva Healthcare. She holds a PhD in Public Health Science from the University of Copenhagen, focusing on patient education programmes for type 2 diabetes. Ditte has led several projects on self-management of type 2 diabetes across geographies and is responsible for the implementation and operation of programs at Liva Healthcare. In the Bump2Baby and Me project, Ditte will be involved in the research and intervention design, intervention delivery, and evaluation.

Elena Rey Velasco

Team Member

Elena is an Industrial PhD student at Liva Healthcare and the University of Copenhagen. She holds a BSc and an MSc in Human Nutrition from the Complutense University of Madrid and Copenhagen University, respectively. Her research has focused on both type 1 and type 2 diabetes prevention and management over the past years. Elena has a dual role in Bump2Baby as project manager and researcher. Her PhD project in Psychology of Language explores how to study and improve text-based communication in digital health coaching interventions to support those at risk of type 2 and gestational diabetes and promote lifestyle behavior change.

Katie Angotti

Team Member

Katie is a Health Coach Team Lead at Liva Healthcare. She is a registered Public Health Nutritionist (RNutr) with over 10 years of experience in maternal and child nutrition. Having worked within the NHS, infant food and milk industry, as well as in private practice, Katie joined Liva as a digital health coach and coach team lead. In the Bump2Baby and Me project, Katie will be assisting with the implementation of the coaching model; from recruitment, training, coach support and supervision, and providing health coaching on the UK arm of the project.
