PhD Opportunity with Project Coordinator UCD
The UCD Perinatal Research Centre and UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science are seeking to recruit a PhD student to join our project team to explore breastfeeding behaviours and outcomes. The PhD program will involve further training in clinical trials skills, exposure to cutting-edge implementation research, biological sample processing, clinical chemistry analysis, scientific writing, statistical analysis and research management skills. There will be opportunities to present your work on the national and international scientific stage.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic graduate of BSc in a health science (or related discipline) with a minimum of a 2.1 Honours degree or an MSc. The role will involve work within clinical and laboratory settings. The successful candidate should be highly motivated and interested in maternal and child health and breastfeeding. Experience working with this population would be a distinct advantage.
Please note the project and PhD cannot be undertaken remotely. The successful candidate will join the Dublin based research team.
