Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1, University College Dublin (UCD)’s School of Agriculture and Food Science, Fixed term until December 2024

Applications are invited for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow within UCD‘s School of Agriculture and Food Science. The post-doc will specifically support our EU Horizon 2020 funded Impact Diabetes Bump2Baby project. The ideal post holder will have background in clinical trials research.

The position provides the opportunity for a suitable person to gain valuable experience working in UCD supporting the project in all aspects of the trial and related research. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Sharleen O’Reilly and with the team of researchers at UCD Perinatal Research Centre based at the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin.

This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.

The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research-led teaching.

Salary Range: 42,033 – €47,104

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
